Many Rivers Montessori

Many Rivers Montessori enrolls students from sixteen months through eighth grade. MRM follows the pedagogy developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, providing children the freedom to explore and develop to their fullest potential while working with didactic materials, in groups and independently, within a prepared environment. The concept of respect—for self, others and the environment—guides the our implementation of the Montessori method. Many Rivers Montessori sees each individual child as at the center of his or her own learning process, with the teacher helping each child to make choices for purposeful and meaningful work. The formally-trained teacher, prepared environment, Montessori materials, and the children together create our AMI Montessori community. The result is each child growing in a strong self-image, a sense of self-esteem, and a feeling of belonging. Finding his or her needs met in this way, the child cultivates the traits of respect, learning and exploration that will last a lifetime.
