Durant Tuuri Mott- Flint Public Montessori Program

Durant Tuuri Mott is an elementary building serving nearly 600 students that includes a mix of traditional and specialty programs. In addition to a traditional public school curriculum, “DTM” as it is affectionately known also houses the only public Montessori elementary program in Genesee County. To date, the program serves pre-kindergarten through 6th grade aged children and has an active community advisory group that works closely with the school district to continue to expand based on the interests from our families. DTM is recognized as an important anchor in the community and is immediately next door to the Flint Children’s Museum and Kettering University, one of the top ten engineering schools in the country. Its role in the community is so important that a new early childhood center is being built directly behind the school, which will further enhance the educational campus.
