Mariposa Montessori—Wildflower

Mariposa Montessori is a space that began to be dreamed of since the beginning of 2019 and was born from the interest and need that exists in Hogar Ruth, a shelter for victims of domestic violence, to attend to the girls and boys who arrive with their mothers seeking protection. In partnership with Wildflowers Schools, a foundation whose mission is to initiate and establish Montessori micro-schools led by their teacher-leaders, Hogar Ruth and its director, they have obtained the necessary help to build a space adjacent to the hostel as the headquarters for our micro-school. This initiative is unique worldwide, as it is the first time that a shelter for victims of domestic violence offers a Montessori Development Center service to serve its population of girls and boys.
