Coral Reef Montessori Academy Charter School

Coral Reef Montessori Academy (CRMA) was founded in 1998 by two Miami-Dade County public school teachers, Dr. Lucy Canzoneri-Golden and Dr. Juliet King, the 2022 AMS Living Legacy Award winner. CRMA serves a predominantly Black and Hispanic population and is one of 18 Public Montessori schools accredited by the American Montessori Society (while also holding accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools). The school has a fee-based 3 and 4 year old program that feeds into the charter beginning at kindergarten through 8th grade. All teachers and administrators are Montesseori trained or in the process of being trained. CRMA is committed to Anti-Bias-Anti Racist practices as well as Culturally Relevant Pedagogy.
